Shawn and Sara Meyette
Wimberley Towing is owned and operated by Shawn and Sara Meyette, a husband and wife team. Shawn grew up in Wimberley, and after they married, coming back home was the obvious choice. The company started in 2015.
Shawn runs the trucks. Sara runs operations, which in a towing company means she is the reason the phone gets answered at three in the morning and the reason you get told what it costs before anyone drives anywhere.
The team is now twelve people: two dispatchers, six certified tow truck drivers, and two roadside technicians. Our drivers are WreckMaster certified, and in 2024 the Hays County community voted us Best Wrecker Service in the Best of Hays awards.

Straight answers, before you call.
Who answers the phone when I call?
A dispatcher, not an answering service and not a call centre in another state. We keep two dispatchers on the team specifically so that a real person picks up at any hour and can tell you what truck is coming.
Are your drivers actually certified?
Yes. Our drivers are WreckMaster certified, which is a recognised training standard for towing and recovery rather than a sticker on the door. It matters most on heavy duty and winch-out work, where doing it wrong damages the vehicle or hurts somebody.
How many trucks do you run?
Six flatbeds, working out of three yards in Wimberley, Kyle, and Blanco.
Are you really answering at 3 a.m.?
Yes. Dispatch is staffed around the clock, and the owners still take calls. Nobody outsources your 3 a.m. problem.
Who trains the drivers?
Our tow operators are WreckMaster certified, which is the industry standard for recovery training, and newer crew members learn alongside the veterans.
